Title: 6 Absolute Non-Negotiables on My Wedding Day
Category: lovable
Blog Entry: You've planned your Big Day. You even call it "My Wedding Day." Good, that's exactly what it is. Let's make it more perfect. Here are 6 Non-negotiables towards making your experience the perfect Wedding Day: Have a Viable Back-up Plan: It just might rain. It happens. So don't believe the hype: it's Not bad luck, but something to consider. Always when looking at venues, ask your presenter what "back-up " options are available. Is there enough room to move 150 people inside etc. P.A.: Many people are doing their own music via Ipod these days however, you still need a Loud way to get the crowds' attention for the announcement of; first dance, cake cutting...and Oh ya, there will be folks who will want to toast you on your wedding day. No one is going to hear you without a mic. It also makes the photographer's job much easier (this matters). Wedding Director: If you don't have one or don't care to spend the money on one, no problem. Just make sure to put someone in charge of knowing the details; where the flowers are, how to pin boutonnieres, moving the crowd into place, making sure the bride gets down the aisle at the appropriate time. People love a job to do! Find the right one. Remember to Eat! Sure this sounds like a no-brain-er, but I can't tell you how many times I've seen a newlywed couple fizzle in the middle of their reception because they forgot to eat. You spent good money on a great buffet, EAT! You're drinking and socializing the moment the reception begins. Everybody wants a moment with you. It's very easy to become inebriated too early on...plus you still need energy to embarrass yourself on the dance floor. Escape Plan: Put someone in charge for each of you to remember the things you might forget. Cameras on the table, personal belongings, bridal bouquets, saving the other flowers you might want to keep. The wedding cake to freeze for your anniversary...you get the picture. Have a Great Time: This one should be easy. Ultimately it's about you and your betrothed. Don't get hung up on details. Hiccups will happen, they aren't important. This is not about your mother or your guests...let it ride and start your wedding day off right! Okay, this is just a start. More to come! Dawn , Wedding Photographer Extraordinaire
